Your adventure begins with a comfortable hotel pickup in Cusco between 6:30 and 7:00 AM. Your professional guide and private tourist vehicle will collect you and begin the scenic drive into the Sacred Valley of the Incas — one of the most beautiful and historically significant valleys in the entire Andes. Your first stop is the charming highland town of Chinchero, approximately 45 minutes from Cusco, where you will explore the impressive Inca archaeological site and colonial temple before visiting a local artisan craft center, where the women of the community demonstrate the traditional textile and weaving techniques passed down through generations in the Cusco region. From Chinchero, you will continue to the extraordinary Moray archaeological site — famous for its circular terraces that descend in concentric rings into the earth, creating distinct microclimates and widely believed to have served as a sophisticated Inca agricultural research center. After lunch, a 30-minute drive brings you to the magnificent Ollantaytambo — the largest, most complete, and most impressive Inca archaeological site in the entire Sacred Valley, combining a stunning hilltop sun temple complex with the best-preserved example of Inca urban planning in the world. After your visit, you will transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station for your scenic train journey to Aguas Calientes, departing at approximately 3:30 PM or 4:30 PM, with the 1 hour and 45-minute journey following the spectacular Urubamba River gorge as the landscape transforms into lush cloud forest. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, hotel personnel will escort you directly to the Andino Machu Picchu Hotel (or equivalent), where you can relax and freshen up. In the evening, your guide will meet you for a detailed pre-visit briefing covering all the practical details for your Machu Picchu visit the following morning.

Day 2 begins early with a 5:00 AM breakfast at your hotel — essential preparation for one of the most memorable mornings of your entire trip. After breakfast, you will make your way to the bus station to board one of the first buses up to Machu Picchu; buses begin departing from Aguas Calientes at 5:30 AM and the 25-minute ride takes you up the winding mountain road to the main entrance, which opens at 6:00 AM. Entering Machu Picchu at 6:00 AM is a genuinely extraordinary experience: the site is significantly quieter than during the midday hours, the morning light creates a magical golden glow over the ancient stone structures, and — on clear mornings — the sunrise over the surrounding Andean peaks is one of the most powerful natural spectacles in Peru. Your first stop is the upper terraces and Classic Viewpoint — the most iconic panoramic perspective of Machu Picchu, where the famous photograph of the entire citadel with Huayna Picchu in the background is taken — where your guide will allow time for photographs before the guided tour begins. From the Classic Viewpoint, your professional bilingual guide will lead you through a comprehensive 2.5-hour guided tour of the citadel, following the circuit assigned to your entrance ticket, visiting the most significant temples, ceremonial areas, and royal residences and bringing the history, architecture, cosmology, and spiritual significance of the site to life.
